The book Unwind by Neal Shusterman is an interesting novel that takes place within the United States in the near future. Whether you are into horror or like science fiction, this book has it all. Following the three main characters, Connor, Risa, and Lev the audience can feel a connection towards their own personas as well as their teenager mindset during their conflicts. Connor, Risa, and Lev endure a major mission to stop the government from harvesting people’s organs. This plot is full of striking gore, major twists and turns, and gives the reader a feeling of suspense and the story goes on. Unwind teaches the reader to always be confident and comfortable with being who you are no matter what life throws at you. This book covers many controversial topics like abortion, organ donation, activism, and so much more. If you enjoy these topics as well as horror and science fiction, this is a must read!
