Purple

Violet stones surround the gateway

to my paradise of dreams

and shine softly in the sunlight

when sunbathing by the stream

Blue orchids dance in summer breeze

Petals unfurling, becoming wings

They fly away with the butterflies

towards the wise, tall tree of life

My mind is on a purple cloud, my eyes are far away

I sit and sip on lavender ice

hiding from the disarray, the pain, sorrow, madness

That a single day can bring

The clouds outside are polar white once I come back down again

the real world has called for me, my neither foe nor friend

but saddened I am not as I begin to live my day

For I know that inside my chest a purple heart does lay
