The Ridge High School Drama Club’s performance Something Rotten ran from February 29th to March 2nd. “Something Rotten” showcases the fictional story of the first musical ever, produced by a duo of competitors (Alex Prejean and Geoffery Pritchard) of William Shakespeare (Hayden Cornett). Comedy ensues when a fortune teller (Josh Gordon) predicts Shakespeare’s most successful play, Omelette (a misunderstanding of Hamlet), which the playwright brothers attempt to re-create. This production featured song, dance, and comedic dialogue. Video footage of showstoppers “A Musical” and “It’s Eggs”, provided by the Drama Club, can be viewed below.
