Snowy Night

The snow started softly
but swiftly it quickened
a tip-toe to a sprint
light soon to be thickened
A magical air
a moonlight breeze
a whistle so fair
From the evergreen trees
the snowflakes fall
More rapidly so
Knowing nothing at all
Flurries face no woe
there’s magic near
It’s all around
There’s nothing to fear
We’re safe and sound
in a home so warm
Staring out at the snow
in our circle of love
After a circle of woe
This night is not cold, for truth be told
For I feel so warm, in the midst of this storm
