“Staring at the Sun”
Feel the steaming hot burn of the sun blur your eyes.
It’s a sharp slice cutting into your eyes and making them bleed
Feel the blood running down your cheeks along with your tears
But in some twisted way, it feels so good
You stare until you lose your vision
When the sun hits the middle of your eye you can see one thing clear,
The long skinny lines from the sun stretch out into the clouds.
Everything else you could see is blurry.
You can’t stop staring at it.
Your addicted.
You can’t see anything but the warm soft color of the ball of fire warming up your entire body.
It hypnotizes you as you start to feel paralyzed in your eyes.
Its powerful
It gracefully twirls in the sky.
Brightly smiling, it condenses then expands again
It does a waltz
You keep watching, for it is entertaining you
Your distracted from its sharp color now your whole body is paralyzed
And when a cloud finally covers the sun
And you’ve gone completely blind,
You sit there thinking, “what have I done?”
But all you can do is wait for the sun to come back out
And surely it does
And your surely right back where you started
Staring at the sun.
