The Montclair State University’s Theatre Night Award ceremony recognizes the outstanding work of middle school and high school stage productions. The event organizers recognized Ridge High School’s Radium Girls production with twelve nominations. Three student cast members were individually recognized, including senior Jaidyn Riley for her role as Grace Fryer, junior Faye Fletcher for her portrayal of Irene Rudolph and Miss Katherine Wiley, and junior Kayden O’Connor for his depiction of Dr. Von Sochocky, Edward Markley, William J.A. Bailey, Frederick Flinn. Congratulations to Fletcher, Riley, and O’Connor for their nominations, and than you for your amazing performances.
Two Ridge staff members won Foxy awards. Mr. Tim Lynch, Ridge’s Director of Theatre Arts, earned the awards “Overall Outstanding Production of a Pre-Professional Production of a Play” and “Outstanding Production of a Historical Drama”. Mr. Colin Berry, the show’s technical designer, earned the award for “Outstanding Achievement in New Media/Special Effects in a Play”. Ridge High School is incredibly grateful to have such talented, hardworking people as part of our school community.
Members of the drama club also contributed performances to the event, including alumni Geoffery Pritchard’s reprisal as his 2024 Something Rotten role of Nigel.
