Preparing for Battle

“Preparing for Battle”

When Prince Turnus rang the call,

Many answered ready to brawl;

Mezentius, his son Lausus, others far beyond

Aventinus, Camilla, and tons more had respond.

Arms on, weapons drawn, eager to defend the land.

Riding over the hill they come by,

Just as students from Ridge High,

Preparing for the greatest clash,

Assembling their books, notes, and dictionaries in a dash;

Scrambling to find the Study Guides and practice tests galore

In order to get an A+ or more.

With tears streaming down,

With enough stress to drown,

With the demand of all the expectations,

And a will to surpass the limitations-

They tie up their hair,

Raise their pens in the air,

Tuck in their chair,

And begin the arduous task with all their  might,

As Turnus and the allies launch their fight.

Riding over the hill

Waiting to unleash and kill.
