Essay
Something you might not know about me is…
I’m a concert fanatic. From pop music to orchestral performances, I eagerly look forward to concerts while reminiscing on the memories they create. As a relatively reserved person, standing in a pit enclosed by hundreds of people wasn’t necessarily my ideal venue initially. However, after attending my first K-pop concert with my friends, I experienced an energy and adrenaline that I yearned to relive. The only way to achieve this, of course, was to attend more concerts! These events have not only allowed me to meet new people and see some of my favorite artists live, but forged unforgettable collective experiences.
Tips for Writing
- Brainstorm a topic that excites you (write down any memories, activities, or ideas that you are passionate about and choose the topic that feels the most authentic to who you are)
- Describe how this topic of choice has led to personal growth and impacted your life
- Reflect on core principles or values you want to reveal about yourself, then shape your essay in a way that emphasizes those qualities
- Instead of explicitly stating your values, show them through specific examples and key moments that would reveal them naturally
- Allow your unique voice and style to come through in an essay prompt like this one, which allows for creative expression
