If you think there is nothing to do in Basking Ridge, think again. In just 15 short minutes you can be at the Morristown Festival of Books on October 2nd and 3rd. On Friday, October 2 at 7:30 pm listen to Pulitzer Prize-winning journalists and human rights activists Nicholas D. Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn talk about their writing experience. Held at the Mayo Performing Arts Center, tickets for students are just $12. Don’t forget to return on Saturday, October 3rd to hear more than 25 authors speak about their books and answer questions from the audience. The best part is… main festival events are free! Visit morristownbooks.org for the full schedule of events held at multiple locations. Other special events include Susane Colasanti, Kendall Kulper, and Sarah Darer Littman, three young adult authors talk about their books, the writing process, and what inspires them (this could be helpful for college essays). Rain or Shine, don’t miss out on the biggest opportunity to meet well-known young adult authors.
